An Ode to Scorpio Season

Scorpio,

Hard armor and all,

Your many legs— journeying,

And your stinging while wanting to be held

Screaming out of a closed mouth,

Giving from closed hands

Letting go without notice

Pushing away lonely

And pretending you are okay

Okay and emptying,

Okay and abandoning,

Okay and— drowning us all,

Afraid to just emote and pour

Become this sinking ship— saving yourself,

Your only hero, Scorpio
